What is Meetings & Events Australia? (MEA)

MEA is a national, independent not for profit organisation dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence in all aspects of meetings management. It also promotes the value and effectiveness of meetings as an important high-yield sector of business travel and tourism. MEA offers Professional Development programmes, accreditation, recognition, disseminates information, provides a forum for its members to discuss current issues, and represents the industry to government.

Importantly, Meetings & Events Australia creates a business to business (B2B) community.

Mission
To benefit our members by promoting the growth of, and excellence in, the Meetings, Conventions and Business Events Industry.

In order to achieve the mission, a number of key result areas have been set for Meetings & Events Australia:

• Create business opportunities and facilitating business to business relationships
• Encourage better business practice
• Promote professional development
• Provide information, forums and advice that lead to improved business performance
• Promote the value of meetings, events and our industry
• Advocate issues pertinent to industry
• Manage a sustainable association

Customer Service Statement
Meetings & Events Australia is a national association dedicated to providing professional services for the benefit of our members.

In order to do this we will:

• Ensure that our members are the focal point of all activity
• Respond to enquiries and requests in a courteous and timely manner
• View all feedback as an opportunity for continuous improvement
• Represent Meetings & Events Australia in a professional manner at all times
• Constantly review and improve our performance
• Endeavour to provide relevant and up-to-date member resources

Meetings & Events Australia represents a who's who in meetings & events such as Meetings Management companies, special event organisers , Venues (including hotels, convention centers and attractions), Staging/AV Services, Convention, Visitors & Tourist Organisations, and a range of Meetings and Events Industry Suppliers and Services.
