It is with the greatest of pleasure that I invite you and your colleagues to the 22nd annual Meetings & Events Australia conference. This conference promises to be another milestone in MEA's history being staged in the beautiful city of Adelaide.

You will have many opportunities to experience the latest technology, industry trends, best practices and global issues along with very best that the destination has to offer.

The local host committee, the program committee from around Australia and our very generous sponsors are working tirelessly to ensure that this conference fulfils your educational and networking needs.  Add this to your “thirst” for South Australia's produce and culture and you are guaranteed a brilliant blend, something for everyone who attends.

I encourage you to come along and support this wonderful annual event. See you in Adelaide.

From the MEA Conference Chair

On behalf of the Local Host Committee, it is with pleasure that I invite you and your colleagues to join us in Adelaide for the 22 nd Annual MEA National Conference.

The theme for the conference is “A Brilliant Blend”. The theme builds on the state's main strength - its wine reputation - without limiting its focus to wine. In fact, the brand encapsulates South Australia 's diversity while being modern, creative and inspiring.

The program committee will provide a Brilliant Blend of business sessions, master classes and articulated professional development sessions for the ‘must' (from the Latin mustum – new wine) and ‘vintage' members of the industry. It is also our intention to provide a Blend of business sessions across industry sectors ensuring relevance to each delegate.

The social committee has selected venues, entertainment and hospitality that are uniquely South Australian. With a couple of surprises added in along the way, we envisage this will be one of the best ever social programs.

Michael's Tip: The conference concludes on the Tuesday before Easter, so why not have an extended Easter break in South Australia. Take the opportunity to see beautiful Kangaroo Island, the Adelaide Hills, Central Market and one or more of our world famous wine regions. Go on, you'll love it.

So I look forward to welcoming each and every one of you in Adelaide for a Brilliant Blend of professional development and social activities – South Australian style.

Michael Siebert, AFMEA
MEA Conference Chair
