From the MEA Chairman
On
behalf of the entire team involved in the organization of the
21st annual conference of MEA it is a delight to invite you to
come to Alice Springs to celebrate the annual gathering of our
industry.
This conference will provide many opportunities for those in
the business events industry to stay up to date with the latest
technology, industry practices and global issues. In such an
inspirational environment and during the conference there will
be plenty of time to share stories and knowledge with colleagues
and friends.
The conference will take in the best the destination has to
offer, encompassing the ancient indigenous culture of the Arrernte
people through to the pioneering ways of Alice Springs and the
modern day.
MEA National Conference 2008 will enthuse us all
to reach out to one another in the spirit of sharing.
This will therefore be a truly memorable conference that none
of you should miss and I look forward to joining you in a true
celebration of our industry.
Rhona Walker, AFMEA
MEA Chairman
From the Conference Chair
It
is with the greatest of pleasure that I invite you and your colleagues
to the 21st annual Meetings and Events Conference in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The conference promises to be one of the
best in MEA's history being staged in the beautiful surrounds
of Central Australia. You are in for an unforgettable experience.
The conference theme of Sharing Stories, Sharing Knowledge will
unfold in front of you in the land of the Arrente people. The
program committee has been working hard to produce a program
that is both relevant to all industry members and also thought
provoking. As well as assembling an array of diverse speakers
across many topics, you will have an opportunity to share your
stories and knowledge.
The social committee has also been hard at work assembling some
of the best entertainment and hospitality that the Northern Territory
has to offer. The famous Territorian hospitality will be on show
for you all to experience at every corner!
I encourage you to come along and support this wonderful event.
You will leave this conference enriched in knowledge and invigorated
in the soul after seeing, experiencing and sharing Australia's real outback experience.
Scott Lovett, AFMEA
