Awards Entry Process

Discuss the possibility with other members of your team

Attend MEA Branch information sessions on how to enter the awards

Talk to past entrants and winners

Ensure that you're a current financial member of MEA.

Remember that submitting for an award automatically gives you the Early Bird or Web Hot delegate fee for the MEA National Conference for that year!

Also, those submitting an award, make it to state finalist level and are present at their state award event will go into the draw for one complimentary standard registration to the MEA National Conference (*conditions apply, call your state office for further details)

Peruse the category list and highlight the ones applicable

Don't necessarily limit yourself to one category - for example, in addition to the appropriate venue category a venue could enter for catering, and also with their event partners for particular Meetings & Events. Also you or one of your employees could be worthy of individual recognition.

Identify the person in charge of completing the award submission(s)

Ensure that all members of the team assist in the process

Gather the information, collateral and photos required for each entry

The Early Bird deadline for submission is 4pm, 14 December 2007. Early Bird submissions are rewarded by a 3 for 2 registration to their state Award event ie. Purchase two tickets and get the third ticket free.

The final deadline for all submissions is 4pm, 30 January 2008.

For categories other than the three Individual categories, the submission fee is $220 (GST incl) for the category entered, plus $180 (GST incl) for each subsequent category entered.  The fee for the individual categories is $110.00 (GST incl).

Submissions (along with attachments and receipt of payment) must be completed by 4pm , 30 January 2008. Late submissions can not be accepted due to judging timelines. Early Bird submissions must be completed by 4pm, 14 December 2007 to be eligible for Early Bird rewards.
