MEA Training and Events
National Professional Development and Activities MEA is dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence within the Meetings and Events Industry. We believe that Professional Development, delivered by highly respected industry leaders, on a wide range of industry specific topics and in key business areas, is crucial to the future of our industry.
The MEA Professional Development program is accessible in a number of ways. They include:
- Regular, short, sharp face-to-face Sessions (two-eight hours duration). Designed for various levels of industry experience to assist in the progression of career paths.
- One-day "Essentials for Successful Meetings" introductory seminar for those with limited or no practical experience (less than 12 months) who are, or want to be involved, in the efficient delivery of meetings and events.
- Executive Certificate in Meeting & Event Management (Residential Program) a four-day, intensive training program for Meetings Industry personnel with between one and two years industry experience. This highly participative program involves individual work, group work and lectures from industry specialists.
- Organising Meetings: An Essential Learning Guide is an innovative learning tool detailing the how, when and why of successful meetings. Designed for those with limited or no practical experience, this interactive Manual with CD Rom is perfect for those unable to attend the 'Essentials for Successful Meetings' one-day seminar and is a fantastic reference manual for everyday use.

- MEA Education Resources for self-directed learning.
Each of these methods of accessing Professional Development is allocated a number of approved Professional Development points that can contribute towards gaining industry Accreditation and/or industry recognition.
