Young Professional Scholarship
Ungerboeck Systems International is firmly committed to fostering the growth of young professionals in the events industry globally. One of the ways they provide for this is through the MEA's Young Professional Scholarship Award. USI has provided this support to MEA for over 8 years recognising MEA's status as the pre-eminent association for the Australian events industry and the importance in supporting and nurturing the development of future events industry leaders.
For young professionals working in the Meetings & Events Industry in seven regions of Australia to attend the MEA National Conference.
The scholarship offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to receive:
Registration to the Conference
Air travel and accommodation (3 nights) for Conference from the nearest capital city.
To be eligible, the nominee must be:
Under 30 years of age with less than 3 years' full time experience in the Meetings & Events Industry
Hold a position in the company that would not necessarily entitle them to attend the Conference
Have demonstrated commitment to their job and a keen interest in the Meetings Industry
Employed by a MEA member
Must be available for interview between the 23rd November 7th December 2009
If successful, must be able to attend the 2010 Conference in Melbourne between 17 20 April
A winner of the Young Professional Scholarship will be chosen from each of the following 7 states/regions:
(1) Queensland, (2) New South Wales, (3) Victoria, (4) South Australia, (5) Western Australia, (6) ACT, (7)Tasmania/Northern Territory (combined states)
Student Scholarship

Globally recognized as one of Australia's leading conference management companies, ICMS Pty Ltd has sponsored the Ruth Ellis Student Scholarship since 2007. ICMS Pty Ltd are a valued MEA member.
For students in their final year of undergraduate or TAFE equivalent studies in courses related to the Meetings & Events Industry to attend the MEA National Conference.
The scholarship offers the opportunity for the successful applicant to receive:
Registration to the Conference

One year’s MEA Student Membership subscription (VIC ONLY)
To be eligible, the nominee must be:
A final year student in 2009 studying a Meetings & Events Industry related course at a tertiary institution that is a MEA member
OR
A final year student in 2009 studying a Meetings & Events Industry related course at a tertiary institution who is a financial student MEA member
Must be available for interview between the 23rd November – 7th December 2009
If successful, must be able to attend the 2010 Conference in Melbourne between 17 – 20 April
