ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Round two of MEA's Mentor Program is a three-month-long mentoring relationship that will foster the skills and confidence of budding future leaders of the sector. With 25 mentee positions up for grabs, successful applicants will be purposely partnered with an event industry veteran whom they will be able to learn from, gaining both knowledge and insights into unique areas of the sector.

Since 2008, the Mentor Program has seen hundreds of event up-and-comers benefit from their mentoring relationship and go on to hold senior positions in the industry. MEA’s mentor program is back in 2023 to connect event professionals once again across the country in its tried and proven capacity for fostering skill and expertise sharing and enhancing career progression prospects.

HOW IT WORKS

Round two of MEA's Mentor Program will run from Friday, 1 September – Thursday, 30 November 2023. Mentees are required to be current MEA members. The Program provides a fantastic opportunity for future leaders of the sector to take advantage of the knowledge and insights that current event industry veterans are eager to impart to them, irrespective of where they’re based around Australia.

Mentees and mentors are highly encouraged to meet fortnightly during this time, which can either be done face-to-face or online, depending on their location. The program aims to match participants based on their state/territory and relevant skill backgrounds to ensure an ideal mentoring experience.
