ICC Sydney Studio: Delivering Virtual Event Success

In light of the dramatic effect of COVID-19 on businesses and events worldwide, ICC Sydney is expanding its in-house technical offering to help clients continue to meet and connect via its Virtual Events services.

It is within the fully equipped Virtual Events Studios that the ICC Sydney team will be proudly supporting Meetings & Events Australia in producing and broadcasting the 2019 State and National Awards gala event on Friday 29 May 2020.

Reimagining the traditional face-to-face format of events to create world class online events was possible as ICC Sydney already had in place a highly skilled, experienced and dedicated team of audio visual, IT and event planning professionals.

The team is proud to have delivered several online events to date including the hosting of primary school students as they tuned in for Dirt Detectives led by Sydney Learning Adventures, an initiative of Place Management NSW. Live streamed from ICC Sydney, the ‘virtual excursion’ took students on a historical and archaeological tour of Sydney’s The Rocks. The team’s technical delivery from The Studio included a 10 metre wide LED backdrop for graphics, two audio operators, multiple broadcast cameras and truss mounted PTZ cameras with video switching control, utilising E2 to seamlessly switch from presenters to a virtual map and archaeological artefacts in a live one-way broadcast.

The Committee for Sydney utilised ICC Sydney’s The Studio to host a live webinar followed by ICC Sydney CEO, Geoff Donaghy, for media title AusBiz TV. Demand and bookings are growing with 40 events in the pipeline or confirmed for the next three months.

It is positive that in the current climate, businesses and organisations see significant value in continuing to connect and collaborate.
