The Role

The Customer Experience Division is responsible for the end to end customer interface. It encompasses marketing and communications, venue hire, multimedia and public programs as well as commercial partnerships.. 

The prime responsibility of this role is to implement elements of the digital and marketing campaign strategies, with the purpose of increasing brand equity and salience, resulting in increased loyalty, uplift in visitation to the square, influence and quality of visitor experience that is consistent with the Fed Square brand values.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities   

  • Create engaging, regular content that meets the Fed Square marketing and publicity objectives for the business and effectively communicates the brand’s story and positioning  
  • Execute both social and digital strategies (owned and earned)  
  • Develop, plan and implement social media content schedule and campaigns   
  • Community management for all social media channels including monitoring of social media, website bot and info inbox for customer service enquiries    
  • Social media and photography/videography support and coverage for events (some outside normal working hours where necessary)    
  • Main copywriter including brand collateral, social, eDM, website and award submissions  
  • Pitching and implementing PR strategies  
  • Delivering media activities such as: PR production (setting of photo opportunities) media relations; manage stakeholder and media events; managing an active media network    
  • Manage 3rd party event calendar and subsequent promotion across social channels and event listing portals  
  • Provide insights and report on PR coverage, social sentiment via all online commentary, online forums, travel portals and social listening tools  

Your Experience 

  • Minimum 4-5 years in either Social, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Editing, or Producing  
  • Fluency in major social platforms and social media scheduling tools (ie. Sprout) 
  • Demonstrated success and passion for content creation and brand storytelling 
  • A solid and robust understanding of the Australian media landscape, media monitoring tools (ie. iSentia), and pre-existing media relationships  
  • Experience with SMM, Affiliate/Influencer Marketing and Google Analytics 
  • Deep understanding of analytics, metrics & campaign monitoring 
  • HTML/CMS experience would be desirable 
  • Outstanding communication, attention to detail and copywriting experience  

Qualifications 

  • University Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area including Marketing/ Communications/ Business/ Commerce or related discipline  

Special Requirements  

  • Some out of hours work may be required from time-to-time and availability to receive calls for emergency works.
