We have an exciting and dynamic program of events to deliver at Fed Square and we are growing our Event Operations team! This is a great opportunity to deliver all aspects of on-ground event operations at Fed Square and to join a genuinely supportive & collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • To ensure the successful delivery of events at the square through working with key stakeholders, undertaking the following duties: 
  • Supervision of arrangements for day of event and performance activities throughout Fed Square managed venues and spaces 
  • Assist in final event delivery planning which may include attending meetings with clients and event coordinators, preparing team documentation and working with other departments and contractors to implement last minute adjustments to briefs and site plans amongst changing COVID restrictions 
  • Supervise general delivery of event and facilitate the bump in, event, and bump out of phases 
  • Mix of on the ground and office responsibilities using EBMS Event Planning Software 
  • Welcome Clients to Fed Square and act as main point of contact for all Event Clients onsite 
  • Client and public customer service interface
  • Ability to operate autonomously and as part of an integrated team 
  • Demonstrated pro-active "hands on" approach to delivering services  
  • Experience with any event software and Microsoft Teams an advantage   
  • Consistent communication and upkeep of roster availability and time sheet accountability a priority 

Your Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in medium to large outdoor, venue-based, front and back of house co-ordination. Note that candidates with outdoor event experience will be highly regarded  
  • Logistics and co-ordination skills in a complex (multi event) environment 
  • High level customer service, demonstrated in previous roles  
  • Solutions-focused approach to problems/issues 
  • Ability to operate autonomously and as part of an integrated team 
  • Demonstrated pro-active "hands on" approach to delivering services 
  • Experience with any event software and Microsoft Teams an advantage   
  • Consistent communication and upkeep of roster availability and time sheet accountability a priority 

 Special Requirements of role 

  • This is a full time role with requirements to work outside normal business hours and on weekends 
  • Overnight shifts required on occasion 
  • Perform first-aid and be a key player in emergency management procedures 
  • Manoeuvre plant equipment 
  • Manual labour and some heavy lifting involved 
  • Impeccable customer service mindset required 
  • You will likely be managing multiple events at one time 
  • Uniform will be provided and must be worn on all shifts

Education and Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent industry-related experience
  • Worksafe Construction Induction Card (desirable)
  • Forklift Licence (desirable)
  • First Aid Senior Level 1 & 2 (desirable)
