MEET THE SPEAKER

Lucio Ribeiro

Associate Director of Innovation, Optus 5G and RMIT lecturer in Digital Marketing

Lucio is the former founder of Australia's first Social Media advertising Agency, The Online Cirlce Digital. Currently the Associate Director of Innovation at Optus 5G. He is also a marketing and business strategist consultant at Lucio.AI. He is a lecturer in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing at RMIT, former lecturer at Data and Insights at Deakin, public speaker and former founder and MD of digital agency Online Circle.

He is also an adventurer, having gone from Buddhist temples in China to the heart of a humanitarian crisis in a refugee camp as a volunteer living with war refugees. Lucio worked for McCann-Erikson, Lowe Lintas, MRM and Ogilvy. In 2011 he co-founded Online Circle Digital.

He worked with clients like Mercedes-Benz APAC, P&G, MINI, Renault, Chevrolet, Vicinity Centres Retail, Target Australia, Unilever, MasterCard, Mondelez, Parmalat, Kraft Foods, Schweppes, Purina/Nestle, Cadbury, AGL Energy, and Cadbury NZ and The Warehouse Group NZ.

He graduated in Law, with an MBA and Certificate in Psychology, Game Theory (Stanford) and Artificial Intelligence (MIT Sloan). Lucio has lifelong alumni from “The Marketing Academy".

During his career, Lucio was elected by public vote as one of the top 100 most influential Online Marketers in the world by Marketing Today and he has judged international awards like AME, MB Awards and the NY Festival.

Lucio is Advertising Week Australian ambassador, having gone as a speaker on a world tour with the largest advertising and marketing event in the world.

In 2019 Lucio sold his digital agency and since then has been consulting, lecturing and presenting for audiences in Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, Europe and New York on the topics of:

    1.    Artificial Intelligence in Marketing
    2.    Strategy in Marketing
    3.    Resilience and Leadership
