Proactively sources, develops and qualifies new business opportunities to drive revenue for the hotel
Actively converts enquiries into confirmed business in a timely manner
Updates and maintains accurate account profiles in the database Opera
Professionally manages groups, meetings and events enquiries internally in coordination with the events team
Creates and disseminates accurate, timely and impactful proposals and contracts to clients
Build and nurtures relationships with conference clients, PCO’s, hotel suppliers and key stakeholders to secure business
Develops a thorough understanding of the hotel and its events spaces to deliver exceptional service to new and prospective clients
Participates in sales and events meetings and produces reports that detail historical and planned sales and account management activity.
Meets, greets and entertains clients and conducts effective off-site meetings to sell the hotel
Conducts tours of the hotel on-site with potential clients and remains flexible to their needs in terms of timing.
Acts as ‘an ambassador’ for the hotel and participates in promotional and marketing related activity when required
High school certificate or equivalent qualification essential
Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field desired
Experience in sales and generating revenue desired
Exceptional customer service and rapport building skills
Experience in managing key customer relationships
A passion for events
Great organisational and administration skills
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Opera and Delphi desired
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
